Drop off - 8:50 - 9:00 via the bottom playground car park. We will meet the children on the playground ready to take them into class. Please limit what the children bring in to essentials only (packed lunch, coat, water bottle). Individual pencil cases will be provided in class so the children do not need to bring them in.
Pick up- 3:30-3:40 via the bottom playground car park.
Our PE days are Tuesday (indoor) and Wednesday (outdoor). PE kit is to be worn to school on these days. Our kit should consist of black shorts or joggers, a house-coloured t-shirt or polo and trainers.
Home Learning Expectations
Children should be reading at home for a minimum of 10 minutes every day as this equates to one year of extra progress.
Please continue to practice their times tables as this has a great impact on their confidence and fluency in Maths. They could use TTRockstars which all children will have a login for https://ttrockstars.com/ or quick fire questions on their to or from school etc.
Children should be reading at home as often as possible. Please record when you have read with them and for how long in their reading record book. The children will need to have their reading books plus reading record books with them in school everyday.
Bug Club is still being used to support reading at home and Spelling Shed will be used to support practice with spellings. Weekly spellings are sent home every Friday.
Using our knowledge organisers, we would like the children to try and learn some of the key vocabulary for our topics. Below is a video example of how we would like this to happen and we will explain and help the children set up their words before sending them home.
We still have our topic based project home learning ideas (scroll below to find these) and if these are completed, please share the outcomes on ClassDojo where we will be able to share them with the whole class.
Below is a link to a website with lots of Maths videos that you can watch to support your child with methods they are learning in Year 6.
