Year 6

Welcome to Year 6.

6LM     Miss Marriott

6SH     Mr Howells

Drop off - 8:50 - 9:00 via the bottom playground car park. We will meet the children on the playground ready to take them into class. Please limit what the children bring in to essentials only (packed lunch, coat, water bottle). Individual pencil cases will be provided in class so the children do not need to bring them in.

Our PE days are Tuesday (outdoor) and Friday (indoor). PE kit is to be worn to school on these days. Our kit should consist of black shorts or joggers, a house coloured tee shirt or polo and trainers.

Home Learning Expectations

Children should be reading at home for a minimum of 10 minutes every day as this equates to one year's extra progress.

Please continue to practice their times tables as this has a great impact on their confidence and fluency in Maths. They could use TTRockstars which all children will have a login for  or quick fire questions on their to or from school etc.

Using our knowledge organisers, we would like the children to try and learn some of the key vocabulary for our topics. Below is a video example of how we would like this to happen and we will explain and help the children set up their words before sending them home.

We still have our topic based project home learning ideas and if these are completed, please share the outcomes on ClassDojo where we will be able to share them with the whole class.

The key stage 2 SATS tests are timetabled from Monday 10 May to Thursday 13 May 2021.

Below is a link to a website with lots of Maths videos that you can watch to support your child with methods they are learning in Year 6.
