The Green Committee

We are the green commitee and we called ourself Green World! Green Parson Street! On our first meeting we came up with an action plan to REUSE, REDUCE and RECYCLE!, also, Miss Marshall told up to make some green fingers (little super heroes for our fingers!) to represent turning off our lights (now we do this all the time to reduce our electricity we use). We all have different jobs and we would like to show you now:
Mya ,Maddie ,Lucy Rebecca and Dylan all do recyling of paper across the school.

  • Green Ambassadors We have joined green ambassadors to help us REUSE, RECYCLE and REDUCE!
  • Folly Farm We are working with Folly Farm to help our dreams of making Parson Street green come true - we are planting to make our school more butterfly and insect friendly!
  • RETHINK! RETHINK! Reuse, recycle and reduce! Games to play!
  • FUN STUFF!!!!! Meet the Green Team! The team - Josh, Suzie, Ali and Milly - introduce viewers to the waste journeys (paper, glass, aluminium, plastic, composting, landfill and energy-from-waste), a recycling game, and some colour and keep prints.
  • Mission Green! An appealing adventure style game for 7 to 9 year olds where you can take part in fun missions for the 'Environmental Intelligence Unit'. See how you can help to save our planet. It's fun!
  • Want to be a climate cop? Designed for 7 - 11 year olds, children will love this site which has the message on how energy can be saved but delivered in a fun way through missions which must be completed.
  • Recycle Zone! Explore recyclezone, the site for schools and children that tells you what's what in the world of waste! Have fun finding out how you can help the environment. Although this site is called recyclezone, recycling is only one of the things we can do about waste. We talk about the 3Rs - reduce, reuse, recycle.
