Welcome to Reception 2020! We enjoyed meeting all of you at our parents meeting and can't wait to get started.

The Reception teachers are Ms Bennett and Mrs Baker (RLB) and Mrs Miles and Mrs Studzienna (RLM) . If you have questions you can contact us via email

Drop off - 8:50 - 9:00 via the front gate and up the ramp. We will meet your children at the door ready to take them into class. Please limit what your children bring in to essentials only (packed lunch, if needed, coat, water bottle, spare clothes).

Our day finishes at 3.20 and pick up is in the same place as drop off. We will only release children to a known adult.

Reception will have PE on Tuesday mornings. On these days children should arrive at school wearing their PE kit.

PE kit consists of black shorts or jogging bottoms, a plain t-shirt in their house colour and plimsoles or trainers. House colours will be confirmed during term 1.

Term 4: Do Cows Drink Milk?

This term we will be learning all about farmyard animals, babies and growing. Are you familiar with the story of Little Red Hen? Do you know what the hen made?

Have a look at the topic overview to see what exciting things we are hoping to cover in term 4.

Don't forget to log onto Bug Club so your child can read regularly to you at home.

Any questions please feel free to email us.

Term 3: Can you help me?

Hello and happy 2021 to you all!

The year has begun in a very different way to usual, we know, but we would like you to know we are here if you should need us in any way.

We hope it wont be too long before we can welcome you all back in person but in the meantime do let us know how you are getting on using the Interactive Learning Diary.

Our topic is People who help us, and we will be looking at various job roles within the community including doctors, nurses, police and firefighters. Links and ideas will be posted on ILD.

Best wishes from all the team

Here are some ideas that you might like to try at home whilst your child is not in school, in the range of subject areas followed in Early Years provision. It is not meant as a tick list but some ideas to dip into if you would like to.

Do continue to check on Interactive Learning Diary for daily sessions too.
