Welcome to Term 6
This term our topic is 'Who lives in a rockpool?' We are very excited to recount and share about our experiences of the seaside. Please do bring in family photos of trips to the beach for us to show and talk about.
We will start our topic with a 'wow' week focussing on sand and water play and creating a seaside theme in our classroom. Our role-play area will be transformed into a beach shop in RBB and beach cafe in RBW. We will end our topic with a trip to Clevedon. Please look out for the letters with further information.
Business Enterprise Week.
We have had a fantastic week. We planned to make and sell cupcakes and went to the shop to buy the ingredients. We have enjoyed cooking and decorating our cup cakes.
Welcome to Term 5
This term we are continuing with our topic on 'Why don't snakes have legs?' We had some special visitors from Nursery on Friday and enjoyed learning about how we care for the chicks to keep them happy and healthy.
Thank you for your on going support with home learning. The tasks will continue on from Term 4 until we change our topic in a few weeks. See below for details. Do keep an eye out for our Maths learning each week which we will display on the window or give a shout out. Your regular support with reading at home and with practising their tricky words is really beneficial. Little and often is the best!
Please do come and join us on Wednesday 9th May for the Reception Inspire session 9:00-10:00am and EYFS Parent to lunch day at 11:30am
We look forward to seeing you there.
Many thanks again
Welcome to Term 3
This term our topic is 'What happens when I fall asleep?' We had a great 'Engage' session where we dressed in our pyjamas, listened to a bed time story and then explored the night sky.
Please take a look at our Topic overview below to find out about our learning this term.
There are also some valuable home learning tasks for this term.
Topic - Are We There Yet? - Express
As part of our end of term
'Express' element, we reflected
on which parts of the topic we enjoyed
and ended it with a celebration on
travelling to space, meeting aliens.
We had an alien hair day and made
models of aliens using play dough!
October's Parents Information Meeting
Today (Wednesday 3rd) we are meeting parents to run through some key points related to your child's reception year. See documents for you own reference that will discussed during the meeting.
Welcome to Reception.
We are looking forward to working in partnership with you over this year. Please do bring in your booklet 'All about me' to share with the class.
This term our topic is 'Are We There Yet?'
We will be looking at various forms of transport and journeys. Have you been on a journey recently? If you have any photos or an interesting story related to this, please bring into share.
Please ensure this term that your child's PE kit is brought into school on Mondays and this can be left in school during the week for the children to use. Named clothing is really helpful.
We encourage the children to drink water regularly and invite your child to bring in a named water bottle to use daily.
Please do come and see us if you have any questions or concerns.
You can also contact us via email.
