The Pupil Premium is additional funding to help schools close the attainment gap between children from low-income and other disadvantaged families and their peers. At Parson Street we have a higher than average number of children who attract the Pupil Premium, and use this money to ensure that gaps are closed through high quality teaching and provision, alongside targeted support where it is needed.
Our latest Pupil Premium Statement is below, and details support that we have in place to help close attainment gaps. This includes an evaluation of the previous year's spending. This document is reviewed regularly to ensure that the most effective strategies are being used at all times.
Catch-up Premium
In the year 2020-21, schools have been allocated additional money to assist with catch-up for children who have not been able to attend school during the COVID-19 lockdown. This money has a focus on children who also attract the Pupil Premium.
Our statement about how this money is supporting children catch up is attached below. As with the Pupil Premium statement, this is being regularly reviewed to ensure that the most effective strategies are being used.
