Nursery

Wow, what a great start to the term we have had. We have been busy looking at dinosaurs. We have read the story Dinosaur Roar, painted our favourite dinosaurs and even been on a scientific dig to find dinosaur bones in the sand. Please come and look at some of our dinosaur painting displayed in nursery. The nursery children have also be learning fact about dinosaur I wonder if they can share some with you at home.

For those children starting reception in September you my want to start practicing reading the rocket tricky words at home. These words need to be learnt by memory, you cant use your sounds.

Happy reading!

Rocket Tricky Words

Keep an eye out for......

Something special will be arriving in nursery at the beginning of Term 5. Keep an eye out for what it could be. The picture above gives you a little clue! Can you work out what they might be?
In nursery we have started looking into People Who Help Us. The nursery staff have been busy creating areas for the children to explore and learn together about the different people in our community who help us. We have been reading different fact books to learn more about these people. We have also introduce some reading dog buddies to encourage children to share books and read together. Please check out the children's interactive learning diaries to find out more!

People Who Help Us

Wow, what a busy term we have had. We have very much enjoyed looking at winter and what it means to us. We have observed the changes to ice as it melts, worked hard on becoming independent to put on our winter coats, hats and scarfs and read the story ,we're going on a bear hunt, looking closely at the part of the snow storm. The children produced some fantastic story maps which we have added to their learning diaries. We will enjoy sharing all of the work they have produced at parents evening.

Next term, term 4 we start the term off looking at the story, Dear Zoo.

Welcome back. We hope that you had a lovely Christmas Break and we wish you a Happy New Year. We start this term with the nursery children sharing their holiday news with us as well as looking closely at Winter and what it means to us. We look forward to sharing their learning with you on their ILD's.

frownNursery Christmas Party!frown

Dear Parents/Carers,

We are having our Nursery Christmas party on Wednesday 14th December. The party will take place during your child’s Nursery session.

On this day your child can wear party clothes/fancy dress to Nursery.

Food contributions to our party are greatly appreciated, especially if you could share with us some food from different countries and cultures for us to try. We must stress that any food donated must not contain nuts due to allergy sufferers. Also, we do not have the facilities to safely reheat food.

Please help out by signing up to the sheets which are on the Welcome Board. Thank you.
