You will know that everybody in our team has strived to make 2017/18 the #BestSchoolYearEver. We have tried to show, through our Twitter feed and other communication, all of the amazing things happening at our school to ensure the children have the best education possible.

Whilst we are not complacent and we recognise the work to continue, I am so proud of what we have achieved this year. Beyond the big improvement in outcomes for our children, there have also been other achievements that we should be so proud of.

This week, I was delighted to attend the Ashton School Sports Partnership Awards Evening where our school received the ‘Sport for All’ award and Ms Tindall was recognised for her exceptional leadership of PE & Sport. This is incredible and I am proud of everyone who has supported our sporting events or competed at competitions throughout the year.

In addition, we were also notified recently that our EYFS provision has been awarded the Bristol Standard for Excellence. This is a fantastic achievement and recognises the high quality provision we have within our school. Well done to Ms Williams and her team for leading this work.

Finally, I am also delighted that Ms Beale’s efforts to lead our Healthy Schools work has been recognised in our revalidation of the Mayor’s Award for Excellence. The feedback was exceptionally strong and it was great they complemented our plans for family dining from next year. Well done!
