Home Learning Expectations

Children should be reading at home at least five times per week. The children should record when they have read, independently or with an adult, in their yellow reading records. The children will need to have their reading books plus reading records with them in school everyday.

Please use Numbots in Year 1 to support the children with their number fluency. Year 2 children should access TTRockstars to practise times tables.

Bug Club is still being used to support reading at home.

We will post home learning ideas linked to our enquiries each term. We would love to see your home learning posted to Class Dojo where we will be able to share them with the whole class.

PE

Pear Class have PE on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, Year 1 children have swimming on Tuesdays. On PE days children should arrive at school wearing their PE kit.  On swimming days children should come in full school uniform, with their swimming kit in a bag.

PE kit consists of black shorts, leggings or tracksuit bottoms, a plain t-shirt in their house colour and trainers.

Term 2 Enquiry: How Can we Help?

Our enquiry this term is all about how we can help others. We are looking forward to doing some voluntary work in Manor Woods. We will also be artists as we plan and make an animation of our act of kindness.
